SHORT BIO OF ORGANIZERS AND KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Rakesh Kumar is a semiconductor industry veteran, an entrepreneur, and  an educator. Currently, he Chairs the IEEE Technical Activities Data-based Strategy AdHoc and Roadmaps committees, and DataPort. He participates in the IEEE 2050, Future Directions and Industry Engagement committees. He
has been IEEE SSCS President, an IEEE HKN Governor, and on the Boards of IEEE SSCS, TEMS, and SSIT. He is the founder, President & CEO of Technology Connexions. He educates and mentors in IEEE VoLT and potential entrepreneurs at UCSD. Dr. Kumar authored the book “Fabless Semiconductor Implementation”, published by McGraw Hill. He is in the IEEE TAB Hall of Honor. During 40+ years in the semiconductor industry he has been VP&GM at Cadence Design, and has held various technical and management positions at Unisys and Motorola.

Dr. Titus Lo is currently an independent consultant in the areas of wireless communications, with more than 30 years of experiences in various telecom and wireless technologies. He received his B.A.Sc. from the University of British Columbia, Canada, and both M.Eng. and Ph.D., from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada, all in electrical engineering. 

He has been particularly active in the IEEE, serving in various positions such as the Co-Chair of EIF in the IEEE FNWF; a committee member of the IEEE CTU, the past finance chair of the IEEE GHTC, the past treasurer of IEEE Seattle Section. He is a life senior IEEE member and a member of IEEE Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society.

He has deep experience in the architecture, design & development of engineering platforms & products, and has led engineering teams at Intel, Qualcomm, IBM and Reliance Jio. He has 70+ granted US patents and 70+ research publications. He is currently a founder at Quantum Walks Technologies, an AI/Quantum tech startup.
