Short Bio of Organizers

Mohammad Patwary is Full Professor of Telecommunications & Director of Centre for Future Networks & Autonomous Systems (CeFNAS) at the Faculty of Science & Engineering in University of Wolverhampton since June 2020. He is also research lead for ‘5G Connected Forest Project’ funded by DCMS that aims at accelerating ‘visitor economy’ in Midlands. He was a full Professor of telecommunication networks and digital productivity and the Head of the Intelligent Systems and Networks (ISN) Research Group, at School of Computing and Digital Technology, Birmingham City University, UK, between 2017 till 2020; he was also the Principal Architect for a large scale 5G testbed in the UK to accelerate digital productivity and to develop urban connected community with West Midland 5G during 2018-2020. He was also a Full Professor of wireless systems and digital productivity & the Chair of the Centre of Excellence on Digital Productivity with Connected Services, Staffordshire University, until 2017. His current research interests include intelligent & autonomous systems, wireless communication systems design and optimization, the future generation of cellular network architecture, and business modeling for data-economy. He is Chartered Engineer of Engineering-Council UK, Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of IET, and co-chair of Testbed working group of International Network Generation Roadmap at IEEE.

 

Md Arafatur Rahman is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Wolverhampton, UK. He was an Associate Professor at University Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia. He got his Ph.D. degree from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. His research interests include wireless communication, cognitive radio networks, security, and Big Data Analytics. He is an IEEE Senior Member. He is a co-author of more than 100 international journals and conferences.

 

 

 

 

Mithun Mukherjee (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree in electronics and communication engineering from the University Institute of Technology, The University of Burdwan, Bardhaman, India, in 2007, the M.E. degree in information and communication engineering from the Indian Institute of Science and Technology, Shibpur, India, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Patna, India, in 2015. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the School of Artificial Intelligence, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing, China. His research interests include wireless communications and intelligent edge computing. Dr. Mukherjee received the 2016 EAI WICON, the 2017 IEEE SigTelCom, the 2018 IEEE Systems Journal, and the 2018 IEEE ANTS Best Paper Award. He has been a guest editor for IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, ACM/Springer Mobile Networks and Applications, and Sensors.
